Inmotion hosting emphasizes on three things – speed, reliability and cost. They claim to score full points on these three fronts. Their web hosting network is based on Unix and Linux and they monitor it all the time not just for checking and resolving problems but also for performance improvements. We recently visited their offices in LA and were pretty impressed with their drive, quality consciousness and customer service focus.

The price factor

There are three different hosting packages available from inmotion hosting and the cheapest package (called ‘Launch’ package) comes for just $6.95 per month. The other 2 packages are $8.95 and $18.95 . However, you will need to pay for a minimum of 12 months for the launch package. The ‘Pro’ package is available for 1 month time frame too but the setup fee for less than 6 month period is around $40 (waived if you pay for 6 months). Overall pretty decent pricing.

InMotion Hosting’s Hosting features

Launch package is the lowest priced hosting package from InMotion Hosting and is suited for websites that don’t require disk space of more than 300 GB. However, if you do want more space and additional features, you can go for other packages. The monthly transfer rate starts from 3000 GB on the ‘Launch’ package and goes on to 9000 GB for the ‘Pro’ package (which comes for $18.95 per month). Note : Inmotion Hosting is now offering Unlimited Disk Space and Unlimited Data Transfer on all its plans.

The 30 self installing scripts that come with all packages are quite useful. Also, as opposed to just one website builder, there is a choice of 2 website builders from InMotion Hosting. Those people who use ‘dreamweaver’ will really find InMotion Hosting very useful – since InMotion Hosting also provide dreamweaver compatibility. Moreover, you also get support for streaming video/ audio. For people who want to include ‘blogging’, the latest trend on the internet, InMotion Hosting provides five different blogger software (including WordPress and b2evolution). Again, all this comes as part of web hosting packages.

Initially, for I was on the Power Package with InMotion Hosting. After about 6 months, my website had become more popular and now I'm on the Vdedicated Package. The team was helpful in moving my site from the power package to the vps. They did a good job in aiding me to and there was very little downtime. Compared to my last host (bluehost) InMotion is much much better. Thank You!!!!!!

I've been a customer of InMotion Hosting for a few years now, and I am still in love! I found them after several bad experiences with other companies. My sites on InMotion have always been trouble-free - if I have had any downtime, I sure don't know about it. They answer the phone (for both sales and support - how rare is that?) AND their techs DO know what they are talking about. I've had them help me out with various add-ons over the years, and they always go the extra mile. I do not hesitate to refer my friends to them, because their customer service is superior, they are rock-solid AND their pricing is great. As a small business owner, I need reliable, hassle-free and affordable hosting; I just don't have the time or inclination to become a web expert myself. I originally had hosting with GoDaddy. I was with them for almost one month and I experienced so many problems that I never even activated my account. I then switched to InMotion. I was hoping that I didn't encounter the same problems that I previously had and I can tell you that none occurred. I was able to upload my website, point my domain and make any necessary changes without any problems. The edit software is superior and the screens are well layed out and helpful. The online videos pretty much tell you all you need to know. The online chat is only a minute at most. Updating is quick. Can't say enough good things about them.

Wow!! Do I love InMotion!!.

I am VERY happy with InMotion!! At my previous hosting service, I had a fairly major issue critical to my business for support to review. They took several days, informed me - first - I had the wrong package and -second - when I was put on the right package .. they didn't offer that type of media hosting - Quicktime!! I called inMotion on Saturday after I learned of this - about 3 PM - spoke to Matt and told him of my issue. He said no problem! By 5 PM, I was signed up. By 8 PM I was on my new FTP server. Then, when I needed supports help getting the site builder installed, Erik S. got it up in literally no time - mere minutes! Very impressive given my experience last week with "Brand X." InMotion might push my "programming" ability to the limit - I have little experience, sadly!- but I know prompt, knowledgeable and nice folks will be there to help me out when I get stuck! I am - again - VERY happy with my new account with InMotion.

Our business has been hosted with inmotionhosting.com for several years now. It's fairly headache free, works well and our site is up. We don't call the tech support too much, but when we do, they do a good job. Recently we called to help us configure our blackberry's and the guy that I talked to was very helpful. My suggestion is to give them a shot. We came from yahoo web hosting (who I suggest you stay away from) and are happily hosted for several years.
